TUFC ANNOUNCE FOREVER STARS AS CHARITY PARTNER
Forever Stars was established in May 2014 following the stillbirth of Emily Daniels on December 19th 2013. Emily’s parents Michelle and Richard Daniels, felt that whilst the care they received from the NHS healthcare professionals was excellent, the facilities and on-going resources to support bereaved families needed additional funding and focused support in order to help families come to terms with their loss in a healthy environment that both enables the family to move forward and embrace the memory of their baby.
Forever Stars mission is to promote and protect the health of parents affected by the stillbirth or other perinatal or neonatal death of their child or children and to relieve suffering and emotional distress amongst such parents in particular, but not exclusively, by:
(ii) providing or assisting in the provision of facilities and services designed to meet their needs at the Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham not otherwise made available by the National Health Service;
and
(i) supporting newly bereaved parents by providing emotional support, practical advice and information.

RESPECT AMBASSADORS Needed
The Football Association's RESPECT programme is aimed at tackling unacceptable behaviour across the whole game. Derby Junior Football League fully support this programme and, in addition to standard codes of conduct, has introduced a number of measures of its own to support this.
Respect Ambassadors
Derby Junior Football League has implemented Respect Ambassadors to enforce RESPECT policies. Toton United Football Club must ensure that a Respect Ambassador is appointed to every match, therefore we need your help. If a team fails to have a Respect Ambassador present at each match the club will receive a fine. It is not permissible for any team managers, assistants or linesmen to act as Respect Ambassadors.
What’s involved……
The basic role of the Respect Ambassador is to identify areas where RESPECT protocols are not being observed and to point these out to the Team Manager. It is not necessarily part of the Respect Ambassador's role to
deal with these matters themselves. Although they have full authority to do so. The Team Manager bears ultimate responsibility.
A Respect Ambassador must be clearly identifiable from a distance and will wear a yellow bib that will be issued by Toton United Football Club. The Respect Ambassador works closely with their opposite number and come to an agreement on any areas that need to be raised with the Team Managers. They are required to
report to the League if either Team Manager has ignored their observations.
The Respect Ambassador is seen as a pivotal role in improving standards at matches. The role also holds the responsibility for welcoming the referee to the fixture and ensuring that they get paid.
What next?
Hopefully we haven’t scared you off, and you are willing to help out in some capacity, being it full or part time.
If so, please speak to either a committee member or coach directly, or alternatively email us at [email protected]
